Common Citizen, the lifestyle brand of Michigan’s largest vertically-integrated pharmaceutical-grade medical cannabis company Michigan Pure Med, announced today that it will open its second Michigan location in Battle Creek this Friday, Oct. 11.

“Common Citizen is proud to serve the people of the greater Battle Creek area with safe, high-quality cannabis,” said Michael Elias, CEO of Michigan Pure Med and Common Citizen. “We recognize people have unique physical, mental, wellness and creative needs and we encourage patients to visit our new chapter to discover the variety of products we offer.”

The new chapter, located at 1240 East Columbia Ave. in Battle Creek, will offer flowers, oils, concentrates, vape pens and edibles across Common Citizen’s four product categories known as “Common States” to meet patients’ unique needs. All of Common Citizen’s products are 100% free of non-natural additives.

On Saturday, Oct. 19, from noon to 5 p.m., Common Citizen will host “Common Ground” – an exciting grand opening celebration for the Battle Creek community. There will be refreshments, live music featuring Pro DJs and a variety of giveaways. A formal ribbon-cutting ceremony will happen at 1:30 p.m. Community members age 18 and older with a medical marijuana card can attend. Those without a medical marijuana card must be 21 or older to attend.

“At Common Citizen, we’re passionate about giving back to the communities we serve through community events and volunteering with local causes,” Elias said. “Common Ground is our way to say thank you to the Battle Creek community for welcoming us to the area, and we’re excited to meet our new neighbors and patients at our celebration.”

Common Citizen opened its first location in May and plans to open additional locations throughout Michigan this year. Common Citizen also offers a delivery service that brings products to patients’ doorsteps. Store hours are Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m.-9 p.m., and Sunday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Learn more at commoncitizen.com.
