TRAVERSE CITY—Leaf Traders, a technology developer for the cannabis and hemp industries, announced that it is accepting nominations and hosting the voting for the 2019 Michigan Cannabis Community Awards, to be presented Friday, Oct. 11 at the conclusion of the first day of the Michigan Commercial Cannabis Conference & Expo, Oct. 11-12 at the newly renamed TCF Center in downtown Detroit.
Winners of the awards will be recognized at a reception at the Crowne Plaza Hotel across Washington Boulevard from the TCF Center.
“Leaf Traders reflects the promise, opportunity and progress of Michigan, and we’re glad to have them as a key partner for the expo and the Michigan Cannabis Community Awards,” said Conference Director Thomas Tong.
Leaf Traders is stepping up its involvement this year at the conference, the state’s pre-eminent B2B expo featuring more than 200 organizations, 50 speakers, a Hemp Room and several important industry panel discussions. Leaf Traders will serve as a program board sponsor for the second straight year in a multi-year agreement, and showcase its technology at Booth E12 at its first conference exhibit. The company will also host the official attendee and exhibitor surveys on Leaftraders.com.
“Unlike other conferences that roll through Michigan, Thomas Tong and Cannabis-Aid created this event to build and serve the cannabis community in Michigan and the Midwest through support, education and highlighting the local industry,” said Leaf Traders Founder and CEO Brad Basar, who established his company in 2017. “This is the only Michigan event we make sure to sponsor.”
Leaf Traders last month launched the Cannabis Survey Marketplace, or CSM, a platform for customized cannabis and hemp B2C and B2B research that offers consumers cash rewards for completing surveys.
