Holistic Industries, a multi-state cannabis company, has plans to convert a blighted former bowling property in Madison Heights into a new $20-million facility.
The company will operate in the city as a medical marijuana retailer, processor and grower, Mayor Brian Hartwell said.
Holistic is set to break ground this week on a 65,000-square-foot marijuana center at the site of the former Fairlanes Bowl bowling alley at 29600 Stephenson Highway, north of 12 Mile Road.
The bowling alley closed several years ago and has been boarded up since then.
