 Since Monday, prospective business owners have filed 13 more applications for marijuana provisioning centers in Petoskey.

That means Petoskey officials will have to use a raffle system — in addition to their extensive review process — to determine which three applicants will have the first opportunity to set up shop in town. City documents show that all applications are still under review. So far, city staff members have cited a 30-day timespan to finish the review process, although there is no specific timeline. Nevertheless, a raffle is slated to occur 30 days after the reviews are complete — sometime around June 21. The raffle is meant to be conducted at a city meeting.

The deadline for applicants was Wednesday, April 22.
