On Sunday, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection of Field Operations Officers seized marijuana at the Fort Street Cargo Facility — a lot of marijuana.

After a commercial truck operated by a Canadian citizen presented a manifest for steel wire destined to a distribution center in Chicago, CBP officers referred the shipment for additional inspection.

Upon entry, CBP officials discovered over 1,031 pounds of marijuana concealed in five wooden crates. When opening the first of thee five wooden crates, the officers discovered that the truck was loaded with vacuum-sealed packages containing marijuana.
