A large, Michigan-based cannabis company is eyeing a city-owned lot in Saline to join the ranks of its 30 establishments across the state.
Lume Cannabis Co. pitched the Saline City Council during a Feb. 7 presentation after making an offer for a 6.5-acre plot off East Michigan Avenue, through holding company Visio Clara, LLC.
The city’s leaders last year approved a permitting process for medical marijuana facilities, and rules allowing recreational cannabis shops are currently in the works.
