Beach balls, blunts and blazin’ summer tunes are just around the corner as The Grove launches its first-ever Summer Block Party, featuring live concerts, food trucks and product discounts on July 22 and 23.
Afroman, most famously known for his hit song ‘Because I Got High,’ will perform live on the 22nd, along with other local artists. Saturday’s concert will feature live reggae music, with Hullabaloo as the headliner with Team Momo as a supporting act. DJs and other live entertainment will keep the party heated throughout the two-day affair, with food trucks onsite and outdoor seating available for when the munchies set in. Cannabis vendors will be onsite handing out summer swag and outdoor games like cornhole and bong pong will be available. The Grove will be featuring product specials throughout the summer festivities.
“Hospitality is our specialty at The Grove, and we’re taking it to the next level with this summer concert to show our guests how much their business means to us,” Adam MacFarlane, owner of The Grove said. “This new series of summer block parties is going to be a blast and is our way of giving our guests a free, fun way to kick back and enjoy the summer along with the great product and service The Grove has to offer. Our mission is to make an impact and provide a space where people feel like they’re more than just customers and we can’t wait to get this party started together.”
The event is free to attend for anyone 21 and over or 18+ with a med card and runs from 12 – 10 p.m. both days. Concerts begin July 22 at 5 p.m. and July 23 at 3 p.m.
The Grove launched in April 2022, supplying its first 100 customers with free joints for a year. Center Line residents, veterans and Macomb Community College students have a permanent 10 percent discount on all orders. The dispensary is located at 26352 Lawrence Ave., Center Line, and features a spacious interior and curbside pickup and a fast lane where customers can receive their product without the need to leave their vehicles.
