Celebrating the intersection of cannabis with skateboarding culture, the Oct. 1 JARS Half Pipe & Street Course event will boast a 20’ x 40’ half-pipe with three street course features while customers prepare to shop 50% off the entire store JARS Center Line
Free and open to the public, this outdoor community celebration hosted by JARS Cannabis, Michigan’s leading lifestyle retailer and purveyor of affordable and accessible cannabis products, invites Metro Detroit skateboarders and spectators aged 21+ to gear up and head over to JARS Center Line for the first “JARS Half Pipe & Street Course” event.
Boasting a 20’ x 40’ half-pipe with three street course obstacles for skaters to shred, grind, and tear up, the JARS Half Pipe & Street Course competition will feature three cash prize pool tournaments for participants to enter to win the best half pipe run, the best street course run, and the best trick on any obstacle. In addition to three cash prize pool competitions, judges of the competition will give away up to $250 in cash to skaters throughout the event, based on skill and performance.
“JARS Cannabis is passionate about drawing upon shared experiences that help individuals to not only build but also embrace a sense of identity and community,” explains JARS Cannabis Marketing Director, Stefanie Michels. “Similar to the skating community, JARS seeks to redefine counterculture stereotypes and stigmas, and we feel absolutely stoked to finally have the opportunity to celebrate the intersection of cannabis culture and skateboarding culture out in the open.”
Sponsored by Royal Oak-based Modern Skate & Surf and fingerboarding cannabis brand partner, Fatty’s Pre-Rolls, this consumption-free event will take place in the JARS Center Line parking lot and will welcome the We Are Culture Creators DJ and media collective along with local food truck options for customers and spectators to enjoy.
While the JARS Half Pipe & Street Course competition event is taking place outside, there will be highly-knowledgeable budtenders eager to assist inside the JARS Center Line retail store (customers must be 21+ with valid ID), where customers will be able to shop 50% off the entire store for one day only, exclusively at JARS Center Line (exclusions may apply, see store for more details).
Additionally, customers who purchase Fatty’s Pre-Rolls products at any JARS Cannabis location in MI beginning Monday, Sept. 26 through Monday, Oct. 3 will be entered to win a limited-edition, custom-designed JARS x Fatty’s Skate Deck.
