The Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA) is adding members to the standing Scientific Advisory Workgroup.
The CRA is requesting nominations for individual participants in the Scientific Advisory Workgroup. The Scientific Advisory Workgroup is a collaborative partnership between the CRA and industry stakeholders. The goal of the workgroup is to provide a venue for stakeholders from the industry to collaborate with the CRA, other state departments/agencies, and research universities across Michigan to inform new policies and procedures. Given the success of the monthly meetings, we would like to continue the workgroup and extend an invitation for the next round of nominees to participate in the Scientific Advisory Workgroup.
Nominees should be ready to approach the workgroup with a scientific outlook and a willingness to participate consistently and constructively in conversations with the goal of informing policy. In addition, nominees should have an exceptional working knowledge of the rules and regulations of their license type and be well-versed in emerging science trends and issues that impact the cannabis industry in Michigan and around the nation.
Please submit all nominations to CRA-scf@michigan.gov with “Nomination for SAW” in the subject line. When submitting nominations, please be sure to include the following:
- Full name of the nominee
- The license type that they will be representing
- Phone number
- Email address
- A brief explanation (no more than 250 words) of the perspective you believe you can bring to this group. Please do not include attachments with your email.
The deadline for all submissions is December 5, 2022.
