Drive-throughs, allowed only at some cannabis establishments, and curbside sales have been tentatively approved by the Muskegon City Commission.

The planning commission also agreed to the changes to the city’s zoning ordinance regulating marijuana facilities.

Though previously not officially allowed, curbside sales already have been available at many dispensaries. The city relaxed enforcement of curbside sales due to the COVID pandemic, according to information provided to commissioners. Without any complaints about them, the commission also tentatively agreed to formally allow curbside sales.

A recent change in Michigan statute allowed the addition of drive-through service at marijuana retail establishments.
