CRA Adds Email Notification To Metric When Package Placed On Administrative Hold

The Cannabis Regulatory Agency announced licensees will now receive an automatic email notification from Metrc when a package has been placed on administrative hold. 

Since the email will be sent to Metrc admins, it is recommended that – in order to ensure notifications are reaching the correct individuals – licensees periodically check that the correct contact information is listed for the Metrc admins.

The automatic email notification language is included below:

Dear Regulated Business,

This is an automated notification email. Any responses to this email will not be read or forwarded. This email serves as notification that packages in your Metrc inventory have recently been placed on Administrative Hold as part of an ongoing investigation. The following package tags in your Metrc inventory have been placed on Administrative Hold:

{Items on hold here}

Licensees are prohibited from giving away, transferring, transporting, or destroying the product from the packages listed above. Licensees must physically segregate the packages listed above to prevent further transfers and to prevent any potential of cross-contamination with other inventory. Additional guidance and information concerning this inventory will be provided when it becomes available.
