Michigan cannabis sales fell 4.3 percent in October to $262.9 million from $274.7 million in September. Sales peaked at $276.7 million in July. The good news is October sales were up 25.5 percent from October 2022.
Looking at the statistical report, medical sales fell 70.7 percent from a year ago to $4.9 million, down 10.2 percent from the previous month, while adult-use sales grew by 33 percent year-over-year to $258.5 million, down 4.2 percent from September.
So far in 2023, sales have grown by more than one third from the first 10 months of 2022 and remain on track to eclipse $3 billion for the full year.
For adult-use, flower reigned supreme at $118 million, followed by vape cartridges at $49.5 million, inhalable compound concentrates at $27 million, and then shake and trim at $23.2 million.
