Detroit Man Charged With Stealing From Warren Dispensary

A Detroit man accused of robbing a Warren marijuana business and leading police on a car chase through two counties has been charged, officials told the Detroit News.

They also said the 29-year-old parole absconder is suspected in other similar thefts across the area.

Dijon Tyree was arraigned Monday in 37th District Court in Warren on seven charges in connection with the incident, the city police department said.

He is charged with the delivery/manufacture of 45 kilograms of marijuana, a 15-year felony; conspiracy to deliver/manufacture 45 kilograms of marijuana, also a 15-year felony; breaking and entering a building with intent to steal, a 10-year felony; conspiracy to commit breaking and entering of a building, also a 10-year felony; receiving and concealing stolen property valued at $20,000 or more, a 10-year felony; receiving and concealing a stolen vehicle, a 5-year felony; and third-degree fleeing and eluding police, a 5-year felony, officials said.

A judge set his bond at $100,000. A probable cause conference is scheduled for April 1.

Court records did not list an attorney for Tyree on Tuesday and said he is being represented by Michigan public defenders.

Authorities said the defendant was arrested on Saturday.
