In light of this week’s 4/20 activities and promotions, the CRA reminds licensees of a few pertinent issues:
- Giveaways are permitted but need to be tracked in the statewide monitoring system to ensure that a patient or consumer is not over their allowed transaction or purchase limits; licensees can enter $0.00 sales in the statewide monitoring system for those items which are free.
- It is vital that licensees check to make sure products are not recalled or on administrative hold, prior to sale.
- Onsite consumption is not permitted without proper licensure, per the administrative rules.
- All advertising must comply with administrative rule 420.507.
For further information and more details, please refer to the latest iteration of the CRA’s Best Practice Document for licensees. This newly updated document – which includes more information, links, and videos to assist licensees with maintaining compliance – now has a searchable table of contents and similar items are grouped together for better organization.
