Kareyna is the founder and CEO at LEACIF, a managed accounting firm for cannabis companies in Michigan. She provides outsourced controller and CFO services, tax planning, compliance, and business advisory.
She works primarily with small to midsize cannabis businesses. Began her cannabis-focused practice in late 2016, coinciding with the start of licensing in the industry. Her firm, LEACIF, provides outsourced controller/CFO services, tax planning, compliance, and business advisory.

Contributions to the Cannabis Community
Works on the back-end to improve accounting compliance and tax strategies in the industry. Active with the state CPA society, helping to develop and publish educational resources. Played a role in getting the CPA association involved in cannabis around 2017–2018, which helped legitimize and support the industry.

She’s assisted many businesses from their startup phase to becoming fully operational, and finds it fulfilling to see them thrive.
Advice for Women Entering the Industry
“Have a thick skin” – the cannabis industry is still new and faces many challenges. She encourages women to develop confidence and resilience.
