Adult-use cannabis surpassed $9 billion in gross sales in February, dating from when the first two retailers opened in November 2018. Now there’s a new sales category for on-site consumption, and city councilors want to discuss whether it would be right for New Bedford.
One argument in its favor is the potential for the city to make money.
And this time, perhaps, get on board earlier in facilitating cannabis licensing to reap the potential revenue.
