The cannabis industry is facing renewed uncertainty regarding federal reform, as a lawsuit has been filed to block the Trump administration’s recent initiative to reschedule marijuana. Prohibitionist organizations, Smart Approaches to Marijuana (SAM) and the National Drug and Alcohol Screening Association (NDASA), are leading the charge, challenging the proposed move of cannabis from Schedule I to Schedule III under the Controlled Substances Act.
