After nearly five months of being shuttered, The Girls’ Joint in Cleveland’s Gordon Square neighborhood has reopened its doors, and its owners say the experience revealed just how complicated it can be for small businesses to navigate city systems.
The women-owned boutique, founded by Mandi Cavano and Judie Vegh, opened on Detroit Road in November 2025 centered on cannabis culture, education and community. It quickly built a following for its bright, design-forward approach that intentionally challenges traditional ideas of a smoke shop.
