Michigan Investments 10 Inc., a Pinconning-based manufacturer of popular Muha Meds marijuana vaping products, will be shut down by the state Cannabis Regulatory Agency on Sept. 24 and is ordered to pay a record-high $2 million fine.
Since 2022, the CRA has accused Michigan Investments 10 of a wide range of violations, including surveillance and inventory-tracking failures, testing noncompliance, unapproved business agreements and security lapses such as missing or improperly functioning cameras.
“These were egregious violations, capped by the fact that their camera in the extraction room was pointed at a wall instead of the activity it was supposed to monitor,” CRA Director Brian Hanna said in a statement announcing the license closure Wednesday, Sept. 16. “Michigan’s cannabis laws and rules are designed to protect public health and safety and ensure accountability throughout the regulated market. When a licensee disregards those requirements to this extent, the CRA will take appropriate action.”
