Michigan: CRA Revokes Marijuana Dispensary License, Issues $25k Fine After Vape Cartridges Given to Social Media Influencers

Oct 15, 2026 | Great Lakes Region, Michigan

Michigan regulators have revoked the recreational marijuana retail license of Muha Meds Ypsilanti and imposed a $251,250 fine after determining that the dispensary violated state regulations, including by transferring hundreds of marijuana vape cartridges to social media influencers in quantities far exceeding legal limits.

The Michigan Cannabis Regulatory Agency issued the final order October 1 against Budbridge LLC, which operates the dispensary at 19 N. Hamilton St. in Ypsilanti. The action follows an investigation into eight alleged regulatory violations, seven of which resulted in disciplinary findings.

According to state enforcement records, employees transferred a combined 887 two-gram marijuana vape cartridges to two social media influencers during transactions arranged in June and July 2025. The products contained approximately 1,774 grams of marijuana concentrate and were valued at $9,783.
