Fast Flower Farms closed a $250,000 capital round in March that will be used to complete its grow facility in Bay City. The startup cultivator and processor also took home the gold in both judges, investors and audience pick at the Cannabis Investing Forum pitch competition.

“The competition was stiff, and this was only the second time in the history of the pitch competition that a single contestant has won both audience and judges votes,” said Founder and CEO Nate Niehuus. :We’re incredibly proud of our team.”

Niehaus said his company also finalized a collaboration with the luxury cannabis brand Gage Green Group for its inaugural flower run.  He said this will bring Gage Green Group, a strong and recognizable cannabis brand, to the legal recreational market with several product lines (produced by Fast Flower Farms).

“For Fast Flower Farms, this elevates our brand: Artisan. Boutique. Authentic. immediately, and helps secure distribution,” he said.

“Next up we secured a strategic partnership with the Loriflux Bioscience Company a premier Michigan LED company.  Loriflux will provide their amazing clone (4 bar) and flower (8 bar) LED’s to Fast Flower Farms, which will allow our Pipp vertical racking systems (designed and ordered) to be deployed thereby creating 300 percent additional canopy in mother, vegetative, and clone space. Loriflux and Fast Flower Farms will be working closely together to further perfect an already stellar LED design.”

Niehaus said his genetics division, Prima Clones, sold just over $20,000 in genetics our their first 60 days of operations, and are at capacity. He added capacity will increase greater than 10 times when they move into the new facility and can operate under the Class C Recreational Cultivation license. That would be 2,000 plants more than 8 inches. Now they are operating with only 72 plants over 8 inches.

“We will continue to work hard to ensure our next 60 days is as productive as our last 60 days,” Niehaus said.
