An additional three retail locations can start selling marijuana to adults 21 and older after receiving licenses from the state Thursday.

The Marijuana Regulatory Agency approved retailers in River Rouge, Bay City and Ann Arbor, bringing the total number of adult-use licenses to 36.

So far, the state has seen more than $3 million in sales, which provided $515,051, the agency announced earlier this week.

With Thursday’s licenses, there are now 18 retailers in the state.
