A new marijuana dispensary has been approved to operate on Apple Avenue by Muskegon city commissioners who plan to work on helping more local businesspeople get into the industry.
A zoning ordinance amendment was tentatively approved for Lake Michigan Labs to open recreational and medicinal retail outlets and a cannabis grow operation at 1314 E. Apple Ave.
The amendment moves the property into the city’s “marihuana facilities overlay district” which is mostly comprised of several blocks between Laketon and Keating avenues and Seaway Drive and Park Street.
