Canada’s top cannabis regulator has been busy blowing the whistle on possible business-related foul play.
Health Canada referred nearly 500 cannabis business-related cases to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) for possible enforcement action during the two years ending in March 2021.
That represents a big increase over fiscal year 2018-19, when there were only 32 referrals.
Canada’s recreational marijuana market launched in the fall of 2018.
