In response to the positive feedback from the first statewide municipality summit held in January, and in keeping with its commitment to engage in transparent communication with stakeholders, the Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA) has announced the date and time for its second statewide municipal summit.
The CRA will host a two-hour Zoom call to present information to local municipal officials and answer their questions regarding the state’s cannabis rules and laws. Local municipal officials attending can expect to hear presentations from the CRA’s legal, licensing, and enforcement staff, as well as from the Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE). In addition, there will be time set aside for the CRA to answer questions from local municipal officials.
The summit will be held via Zoom on May 31, 2023 from 10:00am to 12pm.
Local municipal officials who attended the first municipal summit do not need to RSVP; an email link will be sent to those who already RSVP’d to the first municipal summit. New attendees, who did not RSVP for the first summit, may RSVP by sending an email to CRA-SocialEquity@michigan.gov by 5:00pm on May 22, 2023. Officials who RSVP should include the name of their municipality as well as the name, email address, title, and phone number for all those planning to attend.
Any questions for the CRA that may be addressed during the municipal summit should also be included in the RSVP email. The CRA will confirm attendance via email with the Zoom link prior to the date of the summit.
