The Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA) is soliciting nominations for members to join a new Michigan Cannabis Scientific Advisory Workgroup (MCSAW), a collaborative partnership between the CRA and industry stakeholders.
The goal of the MCSAW is to provide a venue for stakeholders to discuss industry specific scientific issues and to interface collegially with the CRA, other state departments, and research universities across Michigan.
Nominees should be ready to approach the workgroup with a scientific outlook and a willingness to participate consistently and proactively provide scientific-based guidance rooted in data-driven research, evidence and objective science with a focus on manageable and actionable work products to advise and inform agency policy.
In addition, nominees should have an exceptional working knowledge of the rules and regulations of their license type and be well-versed in emerging science trends and issues that impact the cannabis industry in Michigan and around the nation.

- A brief explanation (no more than 250 words) of the perspective that will be brought to the workgroup. Please do not include attachments with your email.
The deadline for all submissions is August 1, 2025.
