Michigan State Police Seize $10 Million Of Illegally Grown Pot In Drug Raid In Baldwin

Michigan State Police busted an illegal marijuana operation, seizing more than $10 million in cannabis. The search warrant was executed Wednesday, July 30, on a former factory in Baldwin, roughly halfway between Grand Rapids and Traverse City.

According to authorities, more than 13,400 plants and hundreds of pounds of dried marijuana were seized from the 17,000-square-foot facility, reported Click On Detroit

Multiple people were arrested. Police said no one involved was licensed to grow marijuana.

Authorities warn that illegal operations often produce cannabis containing harmful substances, posing health risks to consumers.

Police estimate the street value of the seized plants to be more than $10 million.
