Dispensary operator gives a 22% discount to Veterans every day of the year at its six dispensaries in Michigan – announces it will double the discount to 44% this Veterans Day
What: Mint Cannabis’ six Michigan dispensaries provide Veterans with a year-round 22% discount – the highest-percentage discount that any dispensary in the state offers to Veterans.
The Mint designated its everyday Veterans discount at 22% because 22 Veterans lose their battle to post-traumatic stress disorder in the U.S. every day. That is one Veteran every 65 minutes.
This Veterans Day, which takes place Tuesday, Nov. 11, Mint will double its Veterans discount – to 44% – at its six dispensaries in Michigan, located in Coldwater, Kalamazoo, Monroe, New Buffalo, Portage, and Roseville.
Customers 21 and older must present their military identification at checkout to receive the discount. The military identification could be in the form of a Military ID, a U.S. Uniformed Services Identification Card, or a U.S. Uniformed Services Retired Identification Card.
Why: With more than half a million Veterans living in Michigan, focusing on Veterans’ issues is important to the Mint team, especially given the disproportionate rates of post-traumatic stress disorder, unemployment, and homelessness among those who have served and sacrificed.

While the stresses are relentless, members of our military are supposed to be ‘tough.’ The perceived stigma surrounding mental health problems keeps many from seeking help.”
