Gage Cannabis Co. is expanding its Medical Marijuana operations to Lansing on May 22 when it opens its fourth Michigan provisioning center.
Last year, Gage opened stores in Ferndale and Adrian. Plus it operates a Cookies-branded store in Detroit in partnership with Berner, a California-rapper.
Gage announced plans to open other provisioning centers in Traverse City, Battle Creek, and Kalamazoo over the summer. Later it will expand to Bay City, Buena Vista, Center Line, Grand Rapids, and Lenox Township.
These Medical Marijuana shops could someday offer adult-use recreational marijuana. But right now just offers cannabis to people who have medical marijuana cards through curbside delivery, due to the COVID-19 social distancing restrictions.
The Lansing store, some 4,000 square feet, features more than 50 varieties of flower, pre-rolls, concentrates, edibles, topicals, tinctures, and CBD products. In a press release, the company said it would employs 20 local residents.
Also in the press release, the company said it is expecting long lines for its grand opening, so folks can start the line at midnight Thursday.
As part of its partnership with the local community, Gage announced that is is working with the Greater Lansing Food Bank, Capital Area Humane Society, and Footprints of Michigan, and its workers will volunteer for the Habitat for Humanity Capital Region.
