Under a new proposed bill, the state legislature could take out the middleman and allow cannabis retailers to open on-site consumption lounges.
But opponents argue the provision could lead to car accidents, with consumers buying and smoking cannabis, then driving. Even cannabis retailers have similar concerns, among others, and those questions could keep the idea from becoming reality.
