A long-running marijuana battle in Menominee, marked by lawsuits and political infighting, is no longer frozen in a judicial stalemate.
On July 17, Menominee Circuit Court Judge Mary Barglind lifted an injunction from September that had blocked the city from issuing any more retail marijuana licenses.
At the time of the temporary injunction, eight marijuana shops already had licenses with at least four other cannabis companies claiming they also had a right to open.
