Ohio: How Much Cannabis Prices Have Increased The Summer Of 2026

Sep 3, 2026 | Business, Feature, Great Lakes Region

Ohio’s average price for an ounce of cannabis has been going up since May, the first time consumers have seen consistent monthly increases since recreational sales began two years ago.

Ohio voters legalized recreational marijuana in November 2023, with sales beginning in August 2024. Since legalization, the price of an ounce of cannabis flower in Ohio has decreased an average of $3.20 each month. This summer, costs began rising again, with the largest month-to-month price increase since legalization.

Ohio’s Division of Cannabis Control (DCC) publishes reports detailing the average cost of various cannabis products from month to month.
