Massachusetts just hit $10 billion in gross recreational cannabis sales in September, but its market risks disappearing as the state’s residents are set to decide whether to reverse legalization this November.
Data from the Cannabis Control Commission show Massachusetts’s cannabis gross sales hit $10 billion in September, confirming a rising sales trend since the state opened its legal market in 2018, following the 2016 ballot that legalized recreational cannabis. Meanwhile, the average monthly cost of cannabis flower has been steadily declining, reaching less than $110 per ounce over the last few months.
