A new Ohio rule establishing package-size and potency limits for marijuana products will take effect October 5, setting specific standards for flower, concentrates, vape products, edibles, beverages and several other product categories.
The rule, adopted by the Ohio Department of Commerce Division of Cannabis Control, applies to marijuana intended for direct sale to both recreational consumers and medical marijuana patients. It generally prohibits marijuana products from containing more than 90% THC.
Under the rule, packages of dried marijuana flower will be limited to one ounce. Raw single-serving units can contain no more than one gram of marijuana each, with a maximum of five grams per package.
