Northfield’s anti-cannabis proposal was defeated
Bernard Jocuns lost his bid for Lapeer mayor
Jamie Cooper was defeated in a close race for council in Grand Haven
Walled Lake’s pro-cannabis proposal was defeated
Keego Harbor’s pro-cananbis business proposal failed
Sheldon Neeley defeated Karen Weaver for Mayor of Flint
Brandon McQueen lost his effort to become Mount Pleasant city councilman
Mount Pleasant rejected a pro-cannabis ballot proposal
Crystal Lake Township’s pro-cannabis proposal was defeated
Hudson City’s pro-cannabis proposal lost
Marenisco Township’s anti-cannabis proposal was defeated
South Haven’s proposal to ban all marijuana facilities was successful

November’s General Election saw many communities reporting a 20% voter turnout- and in some places, that sets several municipal records for an off-year election.
